What happened in Houston…?

We stayed in Houston! For the Veterinary Cancer Society Annual Conference this past Saturday.

Dr. Joseph Impellizeri, our board-certified veterinary oncologist, presented a poster for our veterinary colleagues to view and learn. The topic was the telomerase vaccine study ongoing at our hospital.

He was accompanied by our extern, Dr. Petra Simcic, who is conducting a PhD study in electrochemotherapy at our hospital, and Elisa Sanchez, BS, LVT, ESMT, CMT, our oncology nurse services supervisor.

We’re achieving promising results for some of our pet cancer patients with this progressive treatment method.
