Tragically, dainty Daisy was hit by a car in a back-up accident while visiting family.  Her owners are devastated, especially their special-need teenage son, who relies on Daisy as his therapy dog.

Fortunately, Daisy was rushed to Guardian Veterinary Specialist, 24-hour critical care, emergency, and specialty hospital located in Brewster, NY. Daisy was suffering from life-threatening injuries and multiple wounds.

We want to help Daisy as a tribute to Max Sansone, a dearly loved Yorkshire Terrier that has passed.  Some years back, Max’s life was saved by the founder of Guardian Veterinary Specialist, Dr. Jason Berg, and its chief operating officer, Bernadette Vinci.  This is a way for Max and those who loved him to reciprocate by saving the life of another deserving pet.

Because of the serious nature of her injuries, Daisy had to undergo multiple surgeries during a three-week hospital stay.  She will continue to require veterinary treatment to give her the best chance for a full recovery.  We are doing everything we can, but your help is needed to ensure that this story has a happy ending for all.  Her devoted family needs help covering the considerable costs involved in her lengthy specialized medical and surgical treatment and follow-up care.
