Qualified applicants for this role:

• Shift and Schedule: 3- or 4-day work week. Weekends, holidays and on calls required.
• Perform nursing care tasks, patient monitoring, and treatments.
• Use understanding of common diseases and conditions, physical assessment, and monitoring parameters to accurately triage incoming patients.
• Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications and understand potential adverse effects of medications
• Set-up, monitor, and administer intravenous fluid therapy including constant rate infusions and blood transfusion therapy.
• Contribute to incoming outpatient care and ongoing inpatient care.
• Collect samples and perform in house diagnostic tests
• Perform nursing care tasks such as placing and/or maintaining urinary catheters, nasoenteral tubes, nasal oxygen tubes, chest and abdominal tubes.
• Administer, monitor, and maintain patients under general anesthesia
• Perform vascular access techniques including jugular catheter placement, sampling line placement, central line placement.
• Participate in formulating treatment, anesthetic, and nursing care plans.
• Conduct treatments according to protocolized plans.
• Aid in managing patient care workload to ensure the patients are receiving uncompromised care.
• Organize work area and exercise time management skills to maximize personal efficiency within the practice.

Veterinary Technicians Must:

• Must have NYS Veterinary Technician’s license
• Some experience working in a veterinary hospital preferred
• Must have reliable transportation
• Able to perform moderately physically demanding work, that requires lifting (up to 50 pounds)

Guardian Veterinary Specialists is seeking Swing Shift Receptionists/ Client Care Representatives (CCRs) for full-time positions. Hours will vary for the shift. It will be a 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts. Must be flexible to work day into evening hours. CCRs provide the first and last impression of each client’s visit to our hospital. CCRs are responsible for providing excellent client care and communications, as well as clear and timely communications with the medical staff. ***Shifts available are swing, overnight, day and PT***

Community, Outreach, and Referral Specialist

Reports to: Manager of Marketing, Outreach, & Recruitment Strategy
Location: Onsite with required field travel
Travel Requirement: 85%

Position Summary

The Community, Outreach, and Referral Specialists is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies that strengthen relationships with the community, referring veterinary clinics, and clients in their assigned territory. The goal of this role is to increase brand awareness, drive patient referrals, and promote Guardian’s services through event coordination, veterinary outreach, and community engagement. This position is an integral part of the hospital’s marketing and referral development initiatives and serves as a key ambassador for Guardian Veterinary Specialists.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary liaison for local referring veterinary practices, maintaining strong professional relationships and ensuring a seamless referral process.

• Organize and execute a consistent schedule of visits to veterinary hospitals to distribute marketing materials, collect feedback, and build professional rapport.

• Represent Guardian at community events, such as pet adoption fairs, local festivals, and professional networking meetings.

• Visit referring and potential referring hospitals five days per week, achieving a minimum of 30 hospital visits weekly.

• Establish and onboard five new referring practices per quarter.

• Connect with every practice in your assigned territory at least once per quarter.

• Manage rDVM feedback, escalations, and partnership concerns.

• Identify and document reasons why some practices do not refer, and report findings weekly to the Manager of Marketing, Outreach, & Recruitment Strategy.

Event Planning

• Plan and coordinate educational events, including continuing education (CE) seminars and lunch-and-learns for referring veterinarians and staff.

• Ensure marketing materials and event supplies are requested and prepared in a timely manner using the marketing request form.

• Organize promotional and community outreach events, including hospital open houses, webinars, and pet-focused workshops.

• Manage event logistics such as budgeting, vendor coordination, setup, promotion, and on-site support.

Administrative and Reporting

• Track and analyze outreach metrics, marketing campaign results, and referral trends to prepare regular reports for the Manager of Marketing, Outreach, & Recruitment Strategy.

• Maintain accurate and organized records of all outreach activities, contacts, and related expenses.

• Manage and maintain a content and outreach calendar for all marketing and community activities.

• Follow the Guardian Credit Card Policy for all spending and reporting requirements.

• Submit timesheets every Monday to the Manager of Marketing, Outreach, and

Recruitment Strategy

• Submit a forecasted weekly schedule every Monday to the Manager of Marketing, Outreach, and Recruitment Strategy.

• Keep the Outreach tracker updated weekly

• Prepare bi-weekly reports for GVS doctors.

Program Development

• Develop and oversee community-based programs that align with Guardian’s mission, such as vaccination clinics, spay/neuter initiatives, or partnerships with rescue organizations.

• Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for outreach expansion, increased referrals, and enhanced community engagement.

KPls (Aligned with Bonus Eligibility)

• Completion of outreach visits, touchpoints, timesheets, and event attendance requirements.

• Activation of new referring veterinarians each quarter.

• Professional communication and timely follow-through on all partner needs.

• Accurate and timely CRM documentation of all outreach activities.

• Oversight of coordinator performance and documentation.

• Successful coordination of outreach events and measurable engagement.

• Professionalism and compliance via timeliness, documentation accuracy, internal communication and adherence to SOP’s.

Other Duties

• Check work email at least twice daily to remain informed on hospital communications and updates.

• Complete all required training through ADP.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and hospital goals.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in outreach, marketing, veterinary, or

healthcare-related roles.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build professional relationships.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Self-motivated, outgoing, and comfortable representing Guardian in external settings.
